Weekly Review of Slovene Economy from October 10 to 15
Ljubljana, 15 October - Slovene government adopted a project for the rehabilitation of Slovene economy in 1994 and 1995 at its Thursday's session. The Actual losses of Slovene economy in 1993 and 1994 decreased by 42 percent, and were reported in 7485 companies which together employ 195 thousand workers or 46 per cent of the total number of employed in Slovenia. National electrical supply company and the ironworks saw the sharpest drop in losses compared to 1992. Supporting the companies in the process of rehabilitation, the state devised several new measures, among which the ministers paid special attention to the law on sureties which is in parliamentary procedure. Among the envisaged measures is also a programme for writing off the duties, and conversion of due loans to the state into capital shares of the debtors. Government also supported the bill on privatization of juridical persons and the state owned property, which is to regulate the privatization of shares and establisher's rights owned by the state.
