MONDAY, 26 December
SLOVENIA - The country celebrates Independence and Unity Day, a national holiday. On this day 15 years ago the results of an independence referendum - at which almost 95 percent voted for an independent Slovenia - were officially released.
TUESDAY, 27 December
LJUBLJANA - The Association of Free Trade Unions (ZSSS) is to present to the press its standpoint regarding the bill on a centralised registry of social benefits recipients, which the government adopted on 14 December.
LJUBLJANA - Interior Minister Dragutin Mate is to address the former employees of the Interior Ministry. He will moreover confer memorial signs "For Slovenia" on those who worked for the interior affairs bodies during Slovenia's war for independence.
