Weekly Review of Events Involving Slovenia from 31 Dec to 6 Jan

Ljubljana, 7 January - Slovenia and Croatia were arguing over their disputed border again this week after the Slovenian government adopted a decree on the Slovenian fishing area that encompasses the whole of the Bay of Piran. While Slovenia claims the decree is an answer to Croatia's decision to extend its fishing zone to the middle of the disputed Bay, Croatia said the Slovenian decree was invalid and pledged to act to prevent Slovenian boats from passing past the middle of the Bay.
