LJUBLJANA - The cabinet is to meet for its weekly session at which it is expected to discuss the changes to the transactions act and the small offences act. A press conference is scheduled for after the session, expectedly at 2 PM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - EBRD president Jean Lemierre is to conclude a two-day official visit to Slovenia by meeting new Reforms Minister Joze P. Damijan. Meanwhile, the visiting EBRD delegation is to meet several business executives.
LJUBLJANA - President Janez Drnovsek is to hold a press conference to speak about his appeal to stop the humanitarian crisis in Darfur.
LASKO - The national railway company, Holding Slovenske zeleznice, is to hold a news conference around 10 AM to present its 2005 business results and plans for 2006. (STA)
VIENNA, Austria - FM Dimitrij Rupel is to travel to Vienna to attend a two-day meeting of the OSCE troika after Belgium took over as OSCE chairing country on 1 January.
LJUBLJANA - UNHCR Slovenia is to present UNHCR's reservations on the government-sponsored changes to the asylum act at a news conference scheduled for 3 PM.
MARIBOR - The Maribor-based newspaper Vecer is to announce the winner of statement of the year award, "Call a Spade a Spade", at a ceremony scheduled for 6:30 PM.
VITORIA, Spain - Union Olimpija, currently last in Group A of basketball's Euroleague, are to play against Spain's Tau Ceramica in week 10 play; tip-off at 8:45 PM. (STA)
