Coverage of Exports by Imports Only 87 Per Cent in First 8 Months

Ljubljana, 25 October - The latest data on current economic movements in Slovenia, provided by the Office for Conjuncture and Economic Policy of the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia, demonstrate the foreign trade deficit in foreign trade of Slovenia. In the first eight months this year, Slovenia exported (countries in the territory of former Yugoslavia not included) for almost US$ 3.59 billion of goods, which is 8 per cent more than in the same period last year, and imported goods in the value of over US$ 4.13 billion, which is 10.3 per cent more than last year. The coverage of imports by exports was 87 per cent in this period, which is worse than in the same period last year.
