Schedule of Events for Wednesday, 15 March

Ljubljana, 14 March - Below is a schedule of events for Wednesday, 15 March:

BERLIN, Germany - Slovenian PM Janez Jansa is scheduled to pay a one-day official visit to Germany at the invitation of German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Apart from meeting Merkel (12:30 PM), Jansa is also expected to hold talks with the Speaker of the Bundestag Norbert Lammert (4 PM). Jansa and Merkel are scheduled to address the press at 1:45 PM. SKOFJA LOKA - Environment Minister Janez Podobnik and Transport Minister Janez Bozic are to speak about the fourth development axis as part of a visit to the town of Skofja Loka (north). Podobnik and Bozic are expected to speak to the press at 6 PM.

LJUBLJANA - Justice Minister Lovro Sturm and the head of the Government Office for Religious Communities Drago Cepar are to address the press at noon following a session of the government's commission for open issues with religious communities.

LJUBLJANA - A panel on the prospects of NGOs for taking part in the drafting of government regulations and strategies is to be held at 2 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The head of the Enterprise and Competition Directorate at the Economics Ministry Andrej Kitanovski is to speak about a series of public calls to bids aimed at boosting entrepreneurship in Slovenia at a press conference scheduled for 10 AM.

KOPER - The supervisory board of the Istrabenz holding is to be in session. Although the company has refused to divulge details about the agenda, rumours have it that the supervisors will be discussing the poor results of the company's food division and voting on a proposal that Istrabenz acquire all the remaining shares of food company Droga Kolinska (Istrabenz currently holds a 56% stake in Droga Kolinska).

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Consumer Association is to hold a press conference at 11 AM to mark World Consumer Rights Day.

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina - A parliamentary commission for Slovenians abroad, headed by chair Janez Kramberger, is to begin a multi-day visit to Argentina as part of a tour of South America.
