Weekly Review of Events Involving Slovenia from 11 to 17 March

Ljubljana, 18 March - The visit by Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Jansa to Germany grabbed headlines this week. Jansa's meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel focused on EU issues as well as bilateral cooperation. Meanwhile, Slovenia's plans to adopt the euro next year got a big boost as the European Commission granted the country's request for an early report on readiness for eurozone membership.
