MARIBOR - European Regional Policy Commissioner Danuta Huebner is to visit Slovenia to discuss with Local Government & Regional Policy Minister Ivan Zagar the phasing of EU funds and Slovenia's preparations for the 2007-2013 budget period; news conference at 2 PM. (STA/PHOTO)
LJUBLJANA - The Statistical Office (SURS) is to present the latest inflation figures as well as assess the current deficit and public debt at a news conference scheduled for 10 AM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Parliament is to resume its March session at 9 AM with the third reading of a comprehensive companies bill, to be followed by a vote on a resolution to prevent and fight crime and one on social security in the 2006-2010 period. (STA)
MARIBOR - The Energy Agency, Slovenia's energy watchdog, is to outline at a news conference at 10 AM its experience and achievements five years after it was set up.(STA)
OHRID, Macedonia - Continuing a visit to Macedonia, Interior Minister Dragutin Mate is to meet his counterpart Ljubomir Mihajlovski to discuss Macedonia's progress in EU integration and common security threats; news conference at 12:30 PM.
TREBNJE - A ceremony organised by the Slovenian Roma Association to mark the upcoming World Roma Day is to begin at 3 PM, with the head of the government's Office for Nationalities Janez Obreza as keynote speaker. (STA)
BLED - The PEN International Peace Committee is to discuss "freedom of expression as a means of fighting terrorism" at a namesake panel held as part of the 38th PEN meeting; begins at 8:30 AM.
LJUBLJANA - A workshop on the future of the state of Serbia and Montenegro is to be organised by the Center Evropa and the Institute for Strategic Studies in collaboration with the Slovak Embassy; starts at 2:30 PM.
ROME, Italy - A concert is to honour the newly-appointed Cardinal Franc Rode, the former archbishop of Ljubljana and Slovenian metropolitan at 7 PM. Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to attend.
ISTANBUL, Turkey - Health Ministry State Secretary Dorjan Marusic is to attend a meeting organised by the World Health Organisation discussing health insurance, the financing of health system, and reforms in health services.
