LJUBLJANA - The cabinet is expected to meet at its regular weekly session. The agenda includes a bill designed to speed up court proceedings and reduce court backlogs, and the spring economic forecast of the government's Institute for Macroeconomic Analysis and Development (IMAD). LJUBLJANA - Altima Global Special Situations Master Fund (AGSS), a fund managed by the London-based Altima Partners LLP, it expected to publish an offer for the acquisition of up to 24.99% of the largest Slovenian retailer, Mercator. (STA)
ZAGREB, Croatia - Attending the Crans Montana Forum, Slovenian Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak is to take part in a panel on tourism as a common good of SE Europe, and meet his Croatian counterpart Branko Vukelic.
PORTOROZ - Positioning on the global market is to be discussed at a Manager Association-organised meeting, which will be attended by Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk and Governor of Italy's Friuli-Venezia Giulia Riccardo Illy at 3:30 PM. BLED - Ways of simplifying the country's tax code are to be discussed at a panel at noon, to be followed by a news conference at the outset of the 13th Days of Association of Tax Consultants. The event organised by the namesake association closes on Saturday.
MARIBOR - Henkel Slovenija, a subsidiary of the Henkel consumer goods group, is to present its business results for 2005 and plans for the future at a news conference at 10 AM.

LJUBLJANA - The bureau of the signatories of the Barcelona Convention is to start a two-day meeting at 9:15 AM. The implementation of the Mediterranean Strategy of Sustainable Development, adopted in Portoroz last year, is to top the agenda.
LJUBLJANA - The Motorway Company (DARS) is to stage a roadshow to present the progress in the construction of the motorway section around Novo mesto.
LJUBLJANA - The 12th international festival of performing arts "Exodos", to run from 18 May to 1 June, is to be presented to the press at 11 AM.
SHANGHAI, China - Peter Mankoc is to swim in the finals of the 100 m butterfly at the Short Course World Swimming Championships.
