Slovenia is now a permanent member of WHO

Ljubljana, 7 May - At today's session of the World Health Organization (WHO) Slovenia was granted full membership in this organization. This is the first time Slovenia gained full membership in one of the sixteen specialized organizations of the U.N. Slovenia had handed its request in March this year. Today this request was condoned by 160 states and means a general global recognition of Slovenia in this field.
