Two Years into EU Membership, Slovenia Remains Forward-Looking
Ljubljana, 29 April - The first two years after the historical 1 May 2004 EU enlargement have been largely shock-free for Slovenia, so it remains forward-looking, focused on the challenges ahead. It is expected to adopt the euro in 2007 and join the Schengen zone the same year; in the first half of 2008 it will become the first newcomer to assume the rotating six-month EU presidency.
