Ljubljana, 30 April - Below is a schedule of events for Monday, 1 May:
LJUBLJANA/MARIBOR - International Labour Day, a bank holiday, with several traditional celebrations and meetings to take place around the country. Among the events, President Janez Drnovsek is to address a meeting in Maribor at 11 AM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Slovenia will mark the first anniversary of its entry into the European Union.
LJUBLJANA - Janez Lenarcic is to officially take over as the head of the Government Office for European Affairs (SVEZ).
LJUBLJANA - Joze Mozina and Vinko Vasle are to assume posts of directors of the television and radio sections of the public broadcaster RTV Slovenija, TV Slovenija and Radio Slovenija. The pair were appointed by RTV Slovenija director general Anton Guzej in mid-April.
LJUBLJANA - STA will release a feature on the 100th anniversary of the Esperanto movement in Slovenia. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The Ljubljana Stock Exchange is to remain closed for the bank holiday. Trading will resume on Wednesday.
MARIBOR/LJUBLJANA - The fourth Politically Incorrect Film Festival will begin in Maribor. The documentary film festival, also taking place in Ljubljana, will close on 7 May.
