Dr. Rupel visits New Zealand

Wellington/Ljubljana, 8 May - Slovenian foreign minister Rupel met today in Wellington with the foreign minister and vice-president of the government of New Zealand, Mr. Don McKinny, with whom he made an agreement on their bilateral cooperation and the establishment of diplomatic relations between the states. The government of Wellington will respond to the request for giving humanitarian aid to the refugees from the regions of former Yugoslavia. New Zealand will also support the request of Slovenia for its membership into the UN, the Monetary Fund, the World Bank and other international institutions and organizations.
