Slovenia nearer to full membership of the Council of Europe

Ljubljana, 9 May - The permanent delegation of the Slovenian Assembly, holding a special quest status, participated at the session of parliamentary assembly of the Council of Europe held in Strasbourg between the 4th and 8th of May. Slovenia will become a full member of this body when all conditions have been fulfilled. After returning from Strasbourg Mr. Borut Pahor, the head of the delegation, said at the press conference that it is now up to Slovenia to use its initiative and the ability to adapt to the changing European environment.
