BRATISLAVA, Slovakia - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to hold talks with his counterpart Eduard Kukan (11:30 AM) and acting Parliament Speaker Bela Bugar (10:45 AM) on the final day of his official visit to Slovakia. Rupel and Kukan are to talk to the press at 12:55 PM. (STA)
BRUSSELS, Belgium - EU finance ministers, including Slovenia's Andrej Bajuk, are to discuss the 2007 EU budget at their monthly session. This is the first budget based on the recently agreed financial perspectives for the 2007-2013 period.
VIENNA, Austria - The fight against terrorism will be the main topic of the final day of an EU ministerial conference organised by the Austrian EU presidency. Slovenian Interior Minister Dragutin Mate is taking part.
LJUBLJANA - Officials of the Government PR and Media Office, the European Parliament resource centre and the European Commission Representation in Slovenia are to talk to the press at 10:30 AM to present activities marking Europe Week (6-12 May). (STA/PHOTO)
CELJE - A small celebration is to be staged at 5 PM for the contingent of Slovenian soldiers heading for the NATO-led Joint Enterprise mission in Kosovo. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Foreign Ministry State Secretary Bozo Cerar and the new head of the Government European Affairs Office Janez Lenarcic are to hold separate talks (10:30 AM and 2 PM respectively) with the director for European cooperation at the French Foreign Ministry, Gilles Briatta.
LJUBLJANA - Janez Mozina, the state secretary at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, is to present at 12:30 PM a draft national programme on higher education.
LJUBLJANA - The Bank of Slovenia is to host a seminar on the economic and psychological impact of the introduction of the euro in France. The event starts at 11 AM.
TIRANA, Albania - Slovenian flag carrier Adria Airways is to launch scheduled flights to the Albanian capital. A press conference is to be held in Tirana after the first plane operating the route touches down in the afternoon. (STA)
VIENNA, Austria - Herder Prizes for achievements in culture in Eastern Europe are to be conferred at the University of Vienna. Slovenian architect Vojteh Ravnikar is one of the recipients this year.
LJUBLJANA - The Spring Festival, an open-air festival of electronic music and visual arts, is to open at 7 PM with an exhibition of posters from the former Yugoslavia.
RIGA, Latvia - Slovenia will take on Finland at 4:15 PM in the first round of competition at the World Ice Hockey Championships. (STA)
