MAUTHAUSEN, Austria - A Slovenian delegation headed by Ambassador to Austria Ernest Petric is to attend memorial services at the World War II Nazi concentration camp at Mauthausen. The international commemoration, to be preceded (9:30 AM) by a ceremony devoted to the Slovenian victims of the Mathausen camp, is to begin at 11 AM.
MARIBOR - A commemoration marking ten years since the erection of a monument celebrating the independence of Slovenia is to begin at 4:00 PM with Alojz Peterle, MEP and vice-president of the European People's Party, as honorary speaker. (STA/PHOTO)
RIGA, Latvia - Slovenia will take on the Czech Republic at 3:15 PM in their second qualifying match at the World Ice Hockey Championships. (STA)
VOLOS, Greece - Europe's best male gymnasts, among them Slovenia's world champions Aljaz Pegan and Mitja Petkovsek, are to face-off in the final round of the European Championships, to start at 3:30 PM.
MARIBOR - The Croatian National Theatre Split will be making a guest appearance at Slovenia's National Theatre in Maribor. Hrista Bojcev's "Polkovnik Ptica" (Colonel Bird), which deals with the complex relationship between the EU and the Balkans, is directed by Nenni Delmestra. At 7:30 PM.
