Ljubljana, 10 May - Below is a schedule of events for Thursday, 11 May:

LJUBLJANA - The government is to debate strategic guidelines for the privatisation of NKBM, Slovenia's second largest bank, and the national telco Telekom Slovenije. The agenda also includes constitutional changes aimed at tackling the backlog of pending cases at courts. A press conference is scheduled for noon. (STA/PHOTO)

PORTOROZ - A stock market conference dubbed "The Development Opportunities of the Slovenian Capital Market" is to kick off at 10 AM. Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk is to deliver a speech on the development of the capital market at 4:10 PM, to be followed by a panel on the privatisation of state-owned enterprises. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - A debate on the development of the energy market in Slovenia and the EU is to be held as part of Europe Week at 9 AM. Representatives of the government, Chamber of Commerce (GZS) and the European Commission Representation in Slovenia will be taking part. (STA/PHOTO)

BRUSSELS, Belgium - The spring meeting of NATO and EU chiefs of staff is to wrap up. Slovenian Chief of Staff. Major General Ladislav Lipic, is expected to address the press after the meeting. (STA)

VIENNA, Austria - PM Janez Jansa and FM Dimitrij Rupel are to take part in the summit of the EU, Latin American and Caribbean countries. The summit will kick off with a charity football game, with the plenary scheduled for Friday.

LJUBLJANA - The launch at 9 AM of the seminar Porvoo, the international network of state administrations, which is organised by the Slovenian Ministry of Public Administration and the Finnish Population Register Centre.

CELJE - Strategic initiatives for the development of entrepreneurship will be in the focus of a panel organised by the Zlatorog business club. Economics Minister Andrej Bajuk is to take part in the debate.

LJUBLJANA - Organisers of the Druga godba world music festival (30 May - 3 June) are to present the festival programme at a press conference scheduled for 11 AM.

PRAGUE, Czech Republic - Culture Minister Vasko Simoniti is to attend the unveiling of a bust to Slovenian architect Joze Plecnik at Prague Castle.
