Ljubljana, 14 May - Top news this week was the decision by Belgian banking group KBC, owner of a 34% share in Slovenia's largest bank, NLB, to limit its responsibility to that of a pure financial investor. The government backed the privatisation plans for Slovenia's second largest bank, Nova kreditna banka Maribor (NKBM), and the national telco Telekom Slovenije. German media conglomerate WAZ and Slovenian publishing house DZS formed a joint venture which will take charge of DZS's 51.05% stake in the daily Dnevnik.
