Commission Gives Thumbs Up to Slovenia's Euro Bid
Strasbourg/Frankfurt, 16 May - The European Commission has said in its report that Slovenia is ready to adopt the euro on 1 January 2007. The thumbs up paves the way for Slovenia to become the first among the countries that joined the EU in May 2004 to adopt the euro.
