LJUBLJANA - Parliament is to meet for its May session at 2 PM to discuss three proposals to change the Constitution, a bill on religious freedom in first reading and several legislative changes in second reading. BRUSSELS, Belgium - EU agriculture ministers, among them Slovenia's Marija Lukacic, are to meet to discuss environmentally sustainable farming and GMOs.

VIENNA, Austria - Several EU topics are to be discussed at a two-day Conference of Community and European Affairs Committees of Parliaments of the EU (COSAC), to be attended by chair of the Slovenian parliamentary EU affairs committee Anton Kokalj.

BRATISLAVA, Slovakia - Interior Minister Dragutin Mate is to attend a meeting of his counterparts from Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia (Salzburg Forum) to discuss witness protection and Schengen evaluation among other topics.

LJUBLJANA - The social partners are to resume talks on the labour market and employment in a bid to reach agreement on a 2006-2009 social agreement. Statement to the press at 3:15 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The Chamber of Craft Industries (OZS) is to hold a press conference at 11 AM to speak about its situation, with Minister of the Economy Andrej Vizjak expected to attend. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Justice Minister Lovro Sturm is to speak to the press at noon in a response to arguments against a proposal to change the constitution to allow appointments of judges with a temporary term in office.

LJUBLJANA - The Student Organisation of Slovenia (SOS) and the government are to hold another round of negotiations in an attempt to avert a protest announced by the SOS for Wednesday.

KLAGENFURT, Austria - A joint news conference at 10:00 AM by the Carinthian Heimatdienst, the Association of Carinthian Slovenians and the Association of Slovenian Organisations about the decree on bilingual signs in the province.

MARIBOR - The Association of Municipalities and Towns in Slovenia is to speak to the press upon a meeting with representatives of Austrian municipalities.

PORTOROZ - The Sava conglomerate and Slovenian Microsoft are to sign a strategic partnerhip agreement on at 2:30 PM as part of Microsoft's NT conference.

CANNES, France - Slovenian Culture Minister Vasko Simoniti is to begin a two-day visit to the Cannes film festival, where he will meet the festival president Gilles Jacob and his EU counterparts to discuss the development guidelines of European film.

BERLIN, Germany - A week-long 72nd world congress of International PEN is to begin with a Slovenian delegation among those taking part.
