LOKA PRI MENGSU - The Centre for a European Future is to be launched at 2 PM. The opening speeches will be delivered by PM Janez Jansa and FM Dimitrij Rupel, to be followed by addresses of several high-profile officials from Hungary, Macedonia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia-Montenegro, Croatia, Turkey and the US. STARI TRG PRI LOZU, RAKOV SKOCJAN, CERKNICA - PM Janez Jansa and Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak are to visit the metal and plastic products manufacturer Kovinoplastika Loz ahead of the government's working visit to the Notranjsko region planned for Wednesday. Visiting the town of Rakov Skocijan to meet representatives of the local communities will be Environment Minister Janez Podobnik, whereas Justice Minister Lovro Sturm is to visit the Cerknica local court.
LJUBLJANA - MPs are to resume their May session at 10 AM to discuss whether to begin procedures for constitutional changes related to local government, the judiciary and lawmaker immunity. (STA)

MURSKA SOBOTA - The Slovenian Roma Association is to organise a conference on the employment situation of Roma. The head of the government's Office for Nationalities Janez Obreza and Labour Minister Janez Drobnic are also to attend; at 11 AM.
KLAGENFURT, Austria - The National Council of Carinthian Slovenians (NSKS) minority organisation and the United List (EL), the only Slovenian party in Austria's Carinthia, are to make a statement on the decree on bilingual signs in the province at 10 AM.
MURSKA SOBOTA - Government representatives are to begin at 5 PM the first in a series of public debates aimed at raising public awareness about the alleged need for reform. The first meeting with local businesses, politicians and locals is to be attended by Labour Minister Janez Drobnic.
LJUBLJANA - Bank of Slovenia deputy governor Samo Nucic and his aides are to present the reports on the financial stability and the control of banking operations in 2005 at a press conference scheduled for 11 AM.
LJUBLJANA - Environment Minister Janez Podobnik is to meet the director of the European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites (EUMETSAT), Lars Prahm, as part of presentation of EUMETSAT scheduled for 10 AM.
IG - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec is to deliver the key-note speech at a ceremony marking 15 years since the first generation of Slovenian soldiers started their training at the Ig training campus.
LJUBLJANA - The Court of Audit of the Republic of Slovenia is to present to the press at 10:30 AM an audit report on the deals of national telco Telekom Slovenije in the period 1998-2003.
LJUBLJANA - The Association of Slovenian Writers (DSP) is to confer the Desetnica award for literature for children and youth at 7 PM.
