Ljubljana, 25 May - Below is a schedule of events for Friday, 26 May:

LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly is set to continue its regular May session by voting on the amendments to the media act and the chambers of commerce bill. The session is expected to start at 9 AM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Minister of the Economy Andrej Vizjak will present to the press the contents of the fifth meeting of the Slovenia-Russia intergovernmental commission on trade and economic as well as scientific and technological cooperation that is to take place on Monday in Moscow; at 10 AM. TIRANA, Albania - A meeting of foreign ministers of the Central European Initiative (CEI), with Foreign Ministry State Secretary Bozo Cerar representing Slovenia. Meanwhile, the country will be represented by its Ambassador to Macedonia Marjan Siftar at the meeting of foreign ministers of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative (AII).

LJUBLJANA - The government commission for religious communities will meet the representatives of the Islamic Community in Slovenia, with Justice Minister and the head of the commission Lovro Sturm and the director of the Government Office for Religious Communities Dargo Cepar scheduled to speak to the press at noon.

PORTOROZ - Social partners are expected to continue their talks on harmonising the changes to the labour relations act, with Labour, Family and Social Affairs Minister Janez Drobnic expected to give a statement to the press at 12:30 PM.

LJUBLJANA - A press conference by the Confederation of Public Sector Trade Unions, scheduled for 11:30 AM, is expected to present the reasons why the trade union did not agree to a wage increase for public servants.

MARIBOR/DOBROVNIK - President Janez Drnovsek is expected in NE Slovenia, visiting the eco-market in the city of Maribor (2 PM) and later traveling to the village of Dobrovnik, where he is to meet the Mayor Marjan Kardinar (3:30 PM) and stop at the Ocean Orchid Company (4 PM).

LJUBLJANA - A press conference on the first three-day world congress of traditional religions - Tera 2006 is scheduled at noon, while the congress will be opened by President Janez Drnovsek at 7:30 PM.

PORTOROZ - The second day of the three-day Days of Slovenian Crafts will see two round tables on business conditions for craftsmen and entrepreneurs and on business opportunities in the times of globalisation.

TAMPERE, Finland - The European Judo Championship 2006 is set to begin, with Slovenian judo team having high hopes for a medal.

THESSALONIKI, Greece - The Slovenian Writers' Association will take part at the book fair in Thessaloniki and later visit Patras, the European Culture Capital for 2006.
