Ljubljana, 30 May - Below is a schedule of events for Wednesday, 31 May:
MOSCOW, Russia - PM Janez Jansa is to wrap up a three-day visit he is paying to Russia with a government delegation that also consists of three ministers. Jansa is to be received by Russian President Vladimir Putin (noon), Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov (5 PM), Speaker of the Duma Boris Grizlov and Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov (10 AM). Jansa and Fradkov are to hold a joint press conference following their meeting. Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to open a conference on the history of Slovenian-Russian relations at 10 AM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA/BRDO PRI KRANJU - Prince Albert II is to begin an official two-day visit to Slovenia. President Janez Drnovsek is to receive the prince at 3:15 PM after which the two officials are to speak to the press. The prince will then be received by Ljubljana Mayor Danica Simsic at Ljubljana Town Hall at 5:05 PM and visit the Chamber of Commerce to attend a Slovenian-Monegasque business conference that will get underway at 4:30 PM. LJUBLJANA - President Janez Drnovsek is to hold a meeting with the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM), a rebel group in the Sudanese region of Darfur, for talks on the Darfur peace agreement. JEM refused to sign the deal earlier this month and the international community has given it until the end of the month to sign up.
LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly is to wrap up its May session with a general debate on changes to the social security act (session resumes at 9 AM).
LJUBLJANA - Finance Ministry State Secretary Andrej Sircelj and Deputy Moldavian Foreign and European Integrations Minister Valeriu Ostalep are to sign a bilateral convention on the avoidance of double taxation. A press statement is scheduled for 12:30 PM. (STA)

BRINJE - A ceremony is to be held at the Brinje nuclear reactor at 9 AM to mark the 40th anniversary of the TRIGA research reactor that is operated by the Jozef Stefan science institute.
