BANGKOK, Thailand - Slovenia will take over as the presiding country of the Human Security Network on the second day of the association's ministerial. Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is also scheduled to hold talks with Thai Deputy Prime Minister Surakiart Sathirathai. (STA)

LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - Interior Minister Dragutin Mate is to attend the final day of the session of the EU council on justice and home affairs. The legal basis for the implementation of the second-generation Schengen Information System will top the agenda.
LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - Health Minister Andrej Brucan is to attend the final day of a session of the EU council on employment, social affairs, public health and consumer protection, where the joint stockpiling of anti-viral drugs will be in the focus.
LJUBLJANA - The Economic and Social Council, the industrial relations forum, is to meet at 3 PM to review a report on prevention of illegal work for 2005 and a report on the programme for the education of the unemployed.
LJUBLJANA - Social partners are to resume negotiations on amendments to the act on employment relationships. Labour Minister Janez Drobnic is expected to make a statement after the negotiations, which start at 11 AM.
MARIBOR - Ther Government Office for Local Government and Regional Policy is to host at 9 AM a consultation with local communities on current issues in local government and regional policy.
SVETI STEFAN, Montenegro - The supervisory board of the Centre for the Development of Finance, made up of finance ministers and central bank governors from Southeast Europe, is to get underway. Finance Ministry State Secretary Ziga Lavric and Deputy Governor of the Bank of Slovenia Janez Kosak will be representing Slovenia.
LJUBLJANA - The ministers of labour and agriculture, Janez Drobnic and Marija Lukacic, are to present at 1 PM a project for the distribution of surplus emergency food stocks to poor people. The food is to be distributed by the Red Cross and the Slovenian Caritas.
ZAGREB, Croatia - Minister of Education and Sport Milan Zver is to meet his Croatian counterpart Dragan Primorac. As part of the visit, the two ministries will play a basketball game.
LJUBLJANA - A special memorial service is to be held at the Slovenian Cinematheque at noon in remembrance of film director Bostjan Hladnik (1929-2006), who died Monday following a short illness. The pioneer of Slovenian film modernism will be buried on Monday.
