Ljubljana, 7 June - Below is a schedule of events for Thursday, 8 June:

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Consumers' Association (ZPS) is to present at 11 AM first results of a euro price watch project carried out in cooperation with an international institute for consumer research. (STA/PHOTO)

BRUSSELS, Belgium - A two-day meeting of defence ministers from NATO and EAPC states focusing on NATO's development and preparations for the alliance's summit in November is to end. Slovenian Defence Minister Karl Erjavec attending the session.

LUXEMBOURG, Luxembourg - EU energy ministers are to discuss the EU internal energy market. Slovenia is to be represented by Igor Salamun, acting director general for energy at the Ministry of the Economy. Transport ministers are to meet on Friday.

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary foreign policy committee is to meet at 2 PM to discuss a bill on Slovenia's international development cooperation, to be followed by a closed-door session focusing on EU related matters.

LJUBLJANA - The executive committee of conservative New Slovenia (NSi) is to discuss a bill on war victims, a potential construction of a second reactor at the Krsko N-Plant and preparations for the autumn local elections; starts at 6 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The strategic council for foreign policy is to meet at the Foreign Ministry at 4 PM to discuss strategic and geopolitical aspects of energy policy.

LJUBLJANA - The government is to meet for its weekly session to discuss, among other things, changes to the act on a new licence fee for student work-based earnings. A news conference is scheduled for 2 PM.

PRAGUE, Czech Republic - Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology Jure Zupan is to attend a two-day conference on new guidelines for the Eureka programme.

LJUBLJANA - Editor-in-chief of the Polish newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza, Adam Michnik, is to speak about politics and the media and their ideal relationship as part of a Faculty of Arts seminar on tolerance at 5 PM.

LJUBLJANA - The non-parliamentary Active Slovenia (AS) is to present a march on Koper, where a protest against the planned gas terminals in the Gulf of Trieste is planned for 22 June.

LJUBLJANA - The Advertising Chamber of Slovenia is to present at 1 PM figures about the number of copies of print media sold in the period between 1 January 2006 and 31 March.

LJUBLJANA - World Fair Trade Day is to be marked with a football match organised by a Ljubljana fair trade shop at 5:30 PM in Zvezda Park in a bid to bring to the public's attention the exploitation of children by the football ball industry. Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek to address the event.

LJUBLJANA - A book about General Lado Ambrozic - Novljan, a commander of the Partisan forces during WWII, is to be launched at noon. The book "Novljan's Century" was written by his son, well-known TV journalist Lado Ambrozic jr. (STA/PHOTO).

LJUBLJANA - Mayor of Ljubljana Danica Simsic is to confer the city of Ljubljana's Zupancic Awards for outstanding achievements in arts and culture at a ceremony scheduled for 8 PM at Ljubljana Castle.
