Ljubljana, 11 June - EU finance ministers gave the green light for Slovenia's euro switch on 1 January 2007, confirming the recent positive assessments on the country's readiness to introduce the euro by the European Commission and the European Central Bank (ECB). The May 2006 unemployment figures (87,111 unemployed) dropped under the 1991 level for the first time in the past 15 years, while the country's economy grew at a 5.1% rate in Q1, one of the highest growth rates in the past six years.
