LJUBLJANA - A delegation of NATO's defence review committee, headed by John P. Colston, is to hold meetings with Defence Minister Karl Erjavec and the parliament's defence committee. Erjavec and Colston are to speak to the press at 1:25 PM. (STA/PHOTO)

LJUBLJANA/MARIBOR - Franz Voves, the governor of the Austrian province of Styria, is to pay a one-day visit to Slovenia, with cross-border regional cooperation to top the agenda. He is to meet Local Government and Regional Policy Minister Ivan Zagar (12:30 PM) and Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel (1:30 PM); both meetings to be followed by press statements. (STA/PHOTO)

ST. PETERSBURG, Russia - President Janez Drnovsek is to attend the opening of the 10th International Economic Forum in St. Petersburg, also called "Russian Davos".

WARSAW, Poland - State Prosecutor General Barbara Brezigar is to take part in a meeting of EU supreme state prosecutors and supreme court presidents.

LJUBLJANA - The opposition National Party (SNS) is to elaborate on their idea for a church tax at a press conference scheduled for noon.

KRANJ - Shareholders of Iskraemeco, the maker of electric meters, are to decide at an AGM on a capital increase through the conversion of a SIT 2.7bn (EUR 11.3m) loan by retailer Engrotus into an ownership stake. Engrotus would thus become the owner of nearly one third of Iskraemeco; at noon. (STA)

PRISTINA, Serbia - Executives of Telekom Slovenije are to sign a contract on the acquisition of a majority stake in Kosovo Internet service provider Ipko Net. Economics Minister Andrej Vizjak is expected to accompany the telco's delegation.

LJUBLJANA - Internet service provider Amis is to hold a news conference at 11 AM to present the details of the recent sale of the company.

LJUBLJANA - Slovenian pulp and paper mill Paloma and Swiss paper company Papierfabrik Horgen are to speak to the press at 2 PM to present the fate of their troubled joint venture Paloma-Horgen. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Dusan Petrac, a Slovenian scientists who works for the US space agency NASA, is to deliver a lecture on the US export of democracy at 7 PM.
