BRUSSELS, Belgium - PM Janez Jansa is to attend the two-day EU summit, which is expected to confirm Slovenia's entry into the eurozone, as well as discuss the fate of the European constitutional treaty, EU enlargement and the expansion of the Schengen no-border zone. (STA)
PORTOROZ - Slovenia is to host the 9th annual meeting of the European Business Congress, to be attended by top executives from over 20 members of the OSCE. The development of the European energy sector will top the agenda. The event is scheduled to begin at 10:30 AM, press conference at 12:20 PM. (STA)
STRASBOURG, France - The European Parliament is to formally endorse the expansion of the eurozone to include Slovenia.
LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary interior policy committee is to meet at 2 PM, with State Prosecutor General Barbara Brezigar expected to present the report on the prosecutor's activities in 2005.
LJUBLJANA - Alessandro Tesini, the president of the Regional Council of the Italian region of Friuli Venezia-Giulia, is to hold talks at 11 AM with his host, Slovenian Parliament Speaker France Cukjati.
BLED - The Trade Union of Metal and Electric Industry is to elect a new leadership, adopt a new statute and a programme of activities at a meeting planned to start at 10 AM.
SOFIA, Bulgaria - A four-day joint meeting of the governing board and the administrative council of the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) is to be launched, with Slovenia represented by a governing board representative Marjetica Bole and administrative council representative Andrej Kavcic.
MARIBOR - The programme of the 41th Borstnik Theatre Festival is to be presented to the press at noon.
