Ljubljana, 15 June - Below is a schedule of events for Friday, 16 June:

BRUSSELS, Belgium - The second day of the EU summit is to see EU leaders confirm Slovenia's entry into the eurozone as of 2007. The summit is being attended by Slovenian PM Janez Jansa, FM Dimitrij Rupel and European Affairs State Secretary Janez Lenarcic. Jansa is also scheduled to open the new Slovenian Embassy building in Belgium. (STA)

CORFU, Greece - Transport Minister Janez Bozic is to take part in a meeting of transport ministers of countries lying on the 10th pan-European transport corridor.

LJUBLJANA - The social partners are to continue talks on changes to labour legislation. Labour, Family and Social Affairs Minister Janez Drobnic is to speak to the press after the talks, expectedly at 11:30 AM.

RAVNE NA KOROSKEM - The municipal council of Ravne na Koroskem is to hold an extraordinary session to debate the decision of Defence Minister Karl Erjavec to overlook local defence contractor Sistemska tehnika in the bidding for the production of armoured vehicles for the Slovenian army. Erjavec is expected to attend the session.

LJUBLJANA - The European Commission's Representation in Slovenia and the Slovenian Enterprise Fund is to hold a press conference at 11 AM to speak about the promotion of SMEs.

LJUBLJANA - The college of deputy group leaders is to meet at noon to set the schedule of the June session of parliament that is to get underway next week.

LJUBLJANA - Chair of the parliamentary EU affairs committee Anton Kokalj is expected to speak to press at 3 PM after the committee debates Slovenian standpoints for upcoming EU meetings.

IDRIJA - The 25th festival of bobbin lace is to get underway at 6 PM with the opening of an exhibition on the history of the bobbin lace in Idrija.

GRAZ, Austria - The Slovenian men's handball team are to defend at 8:15 PM their 10-goal advantage over Austria in the return qualifying match for the World Championships.
