LJUBLJANA - STA is to release a chronology of events leading up to Slovenian independence and after it ahead of the 15th anniversary of an independent Slovenian state. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - The start of a protest walk from Ljubljana to Koper (around 100 km) that is being staged by the non-parliamentary Active Slovenia party in protest against the planned gas terminals in the Gulf of Trieste. BLED - Alojz Peterle, the prime minister of the first Slovenian government elected in democratic elections and now a member of the European Parliament, is to hold a reception at 4:30 PM for the members of his cabinet as well as ambassadors to Slovenia.
THESSALONIKI, Greece - The Slovenian track team is to compete in the premiere league of European Athletics Cup. As part of the two-day event, Slovenian track star Jolanda Ceplak is to make her comeback to the track following a serious heel injury.
