Ljubljana, 22 June - Below is a schedule of events for Friday, 23 June:

PODGORICA, Montenegro - Slovenia is expected to open an embassy in Montenegro as the first country to do so after Montenegrins voted for independence from Serbia on 21 May. The embassy will be inaugurated by Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel (noon), who will also hold talks with his Montenegrin counterpart Miodrag Vlahovic (10:30 AM) and President Filip Vujanovic (1 PM). LJUBLJANA - Prime Minister Janez Jansa is to hold a press conference at 1 PM to speak about the 15th anniversary of Slovenia's independence. (STA/PHOTO)

LJUBLJANA - Parliament is to convene at 9 AM for what is expected to be the last day of its June session.

LJUBLJANA - The Centre for Public Opinion Research is to present the results of June's Politbarometer public opinion survey. (STA)

NOVO MESTO - Transport Minister Janez Bozic and director of the Slovenian Motorway Company (DARS) Rajko Sirocic are to open a 7.8 km stretch of motorway on the Ljubljana-Novo mesto route at 11 AM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The social partners are to sign a collective bargaining agreement on wages, reimbursement of labour costs and holiday allowance for the corporate sector at a ceremony scheduled for noon.

LJUBLJANA - Labour, Family and Social Affairs Minister Janez Drobnic is to address the press at noon following the latest round of talks by the social partners on the social agreement.

LJUBLJANA - Defence Minister Karl Erjavec to received foreign defence attaches serving in Slovenia.

LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary EU affairs committee is to meet behind closed doors to discuss Slovenia's standpoints for upcoming EU ministerial meetings.

LJUBLJANA - The Kresnik Award for best Slovenian novel of the past year is to be handed out at a ceremony starting at 7:30 PM.

LJUBLJANA - Head of the Film Fund Irena Ostrouska is to hold a press conference at 11 AM to speak about plans for this and the next year and operations since 2001.
