Ljubljana, 25 June - Below is a schedule of events for Monday, 26 June:

LJUBLJANA - A Schengen evaluation commission is to begin a three-day visit to see if Slovenia is prepared for controlling border crossing at airports. A statement to the press is scheduled for Wednesday.

LJUBLJANA - Simobil, the second largest mobile operator in the country, is to speak to the press at 10 AM about changes in the management board. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The assembly of the state-run Pension Fund Management (KAD) is to vote on a long-term development plan envisaging the establishment of three new subsidiaries. The custodian of state assets in many Slovenian companies says the reorganisation is set to make KAD a strong financial group able to supply the pension bourse with the necessary funds in the next 45 years. KOPER - The new CEO of wholesaler and retailer Emona Obala, Tatjana Vosinek Pucer, is to speak to the press at 1 PM. She was appointed on Friday after the company's supervisory board accepted the resignation of chairman Ales Skraba and management board member Tomislav Rukavina. (STA/PHOTO)

RAVNE NA KOROSKEM - A panel is to discuss regional development and EU structural funds drawing from the aspect of Slovenia's reforms, to be attended by Minister of Local Government and Regional Policy Ivan Zagar; begins at 5 PM.

LJUBLJANA - Public Administration Minister Gregor Virant is to speak to the press at 11 AM about talks on the wages in the public sector and a new wage system for the sector.

GORNJA RADGONA - Lieutenant General Albin Gutman, the army chief-of-staff, is to address a ceremony marking 15 years since the fights for independence in Gornja Radgona; at 5 PM.

WARSAW, Poland - Speaker of the National Assembly France Cukjati is to attend the 6th regional conference of parliamentary speakers from Slovenia, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland with their counterparts from Bulgaria and Romania.

LJUBLJANA - Together with the director of the Human Rights Institute Ludwig Boltzmann Hannes Tretter, Slovenian Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek is to present a project dubbed "Let's Face Discrimination" at 11 AM.

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Emigrants Society (SIM) is to present the 50th gathering of Slovenian emigrants from around the world it is organising on 2 July in the town of Bohinj. Press conference is scheduled for noon.

LJUBLJANA - Together with the World Bank, the Centre for the Development of Finances Centre, is to organise a two-day meeting of treasury and IT directors at finance ministries from European and Central Asian countries.

LJUBLJANA - A press conference ahead of the international street theatre festival Ana Desetnica is to be held at 11 AM.

NOVA GORICA - The 10th international saxophone players meeting is to get underway in Nova Gorica.
