BRUSSELS, Belgium - The European Commission is scheduled to publish its proposal for setting the irreversible exchange rate between the Slovenian tolar and the euro on Wednesday, when Slovenia will also meet the final convergence criteria to join the eurozone, the two-year period in the Exchange Rate Mechanism (ERM) II. LJUBLJANA - A three-day EU evaluation of Slovenia's readiness for Schengen border standards at its airports is to end. A press statement is scheduled for 2 PM. (STA)
LJUBLJANA - Environment and Spatial Planning Minister Janez Podobnik is to play host to Macedonian counterpart Zoran Sapuric. As part of Sapuric's visit, the ministers are to sign at 10 AM a memorandum of understanding between the countries on reducing emissions of greenhouse gases and on an environmental impact study on the Krivolak military training grounds in Macedonia. The two ministers are to issue statements to the press following the signing. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - The bidding commission of the Health Ministry is to open at noon bids for the supply of long-awaited operating tables, most of which are intended for the Oncology Department of Klinicni center, the central hospital in Ljubljana.
LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary budget oversight commission is to meet at 10 AM to debate the Court of Audit's findings of wrongdoing at the National Farm Land and Forestry Fund in 2003 and 2004.
ATHENS, Greece - Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology Jure Zupan is to wrap up a two-day visit to Athens, where he is taking part in the OECD ministerial meeting on higher education.
LJUBLJANA - The Museum of Contemporary History of Slovenia and the Nova revija publisher are to hold a conference at 11 AM to present the "United in Victory - Slovenia's Independence" anthology.
