Ljubljana, 28 June - Below is a schedule of events for Thursday, 29 June:

RASCA PRI VELIKIH LASCAH - The Slovenian and Croatian presidents, Janez Drnovsek and Stipe Mesic, are to hold a working meeting at 4:30 PM that is expected to focus on relations between the countries. The presidents are to give statements to the press after the meeting. (STA/PHOTO)

LJUBLJANA - The government is to hold its regular weekly session. Among the items on the agenda are changes to the act on the school-leaving exam (matura) and the action plan on the introduction of an electronic motorway toll. A press conference is scheduled for after the session, expectedly at 2 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Negotiations on the changes to act on labour act are to continue. Labour, Family and Social Affairs Minister Janez Drobnic is to give press statements after the talks, expectedly at 4 PM. Meanwhile, the Association of Free Trade Unions of Slovenia (ZSSS) is to hold a press conference at noon to discuss the talks.

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Press Agency is to organise a panel on media and the EU to mark 15 years of agency work. Speakers include STA editor-in-chief Nadja Podobnik, Delo editor-in-chief Peter Jancic, the head of the European Commission Representation in Slovenia Mihela Zupancic and Antonia Mochan, the spokesperson for European Commissioner for Science and Research Janez Potocnik. VATICAN, Vatican - Pope Benedict XVI is to give palliums to archbishops and metropolitans, including Slovenia's Maribor Archbishop and Metropolitan Franc Kramberger, at a special mass marking the feast of St. Peter and St. Paul.

LJUBLJANA - The end of an exercise aimed at testing the response of the Veterinary Administration to an outbreak of foot and mouth disease. A number of foreign experts are overseeing the exercise.

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Advertising Chamber is to present a survey of web page hits for 2006 at a press conference at 1 PM.
