CORRECTION: "Schedule of Events for Thursday, 29 June"

Ljubljana, 28 June - Please note that a mistake has occurred in the schedule of events for 29 June in the entry on the panel organised by the Slovenian Press Agency: head of the European Commission Representation in Slovenia Mihela Zupancic will not be attending the panel as wrongly stated, while journalists from public broadcaster TV Slovenija and commercial TV network POP TV have been omitted as participants. Below is the corrected version of the schedule in its entirety:

RASCA PRI VELIKIH LASCAH - The Slovenian and Croatian presidents, Janez Drnovsek and Stipe Mesic, are to hold a working meeting at 4:30 PM that is expected to focus on relations between the countries. The presidents are to give statements to the press after the meeting. (STA/PHOTO)

LJUBLJANA - The government is to hold its regular weekly session. Among the items on the agenda are changes to the act on the school-leaving exam (matura) and the action plan on the introduction of an electronic motorway toll. A press conference is scheduled for after the session, expectedly at 2 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Negotiations on the changes to act on labour act are to continue. Labour, Family and Social Affairs Minister Janez Drobnic is to give press statements after the talks, expectedly at 4 PM. Meanwhile, the Association of Free Trade Unions of Slovenia (ZSSS) is to hold a press conference at noon to discuss the talks.

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Press Agency (STA) is to stage a round table entitled "The Media and the EU: Does Europe Still Excite Us?" to mark 15 years of the agency's operations. Participants will include STA editor-in-chief Nadja Podobnik, editor-in-chief of daily Delo Peter Jancic, deputy editor-in-chief of the Austrian Press Agency (APA) Thomas Karabaczek, the press officer for European Commissioner for Science and Research Antonia Mochan as well as journalists from public broadcaster TV Slovenija and commercial TV network POP TV. VATICAN, Vatican - Pope Benedict XVI is to give palliums to archbishops and metropolitans, including Slovenia's Maribor Archbishop and Metropolitan Franc Kramberger, at a special mass marking the feast of St. Peter and St. Paul.

LJUBLJANA - The end of an exercise aimed at testing the response of the Veterinary Administration to an outbreak of foot and mouth disease. A number of foreign experts are overseeing the exercise.

LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Advertising Chamber is to present a survey of web page hits for 2006 at a press conference at 1 PM.
