Mostar is dying

Mostar, 20 May - The future of Mostar, a city with a history of half a millennium hangs on the brink of ruin. Only 30 to 35 thousand persons still remain in a city which once had a population of 85 thousand. Most of the city's inhabitants are now women, children and the aged, seeking refuge in bomb shelters, without food, water, electricity and telephone links to the rest of the world.
