Rupel: "Immediate Ceasefire" in Lebanon Unrealistic

Brussels, 1 August - Confirming that EU foreign ministers on Tuesday called on Israel and Hezbollah to agree on an "immediate cessation of hostilities to be followed by a sustainable ceasefire", Slovenian FM Dimitrij Rupel labelled the original wording, which called for an immediate ceasefire as unrealistic. He said that this "would enable speculation by, let us say, the opposite side, that is to say Hezbollah".
