Data on Refugees in Slovenia

Ljubljana, 22 May - According to the information issued by the republican Commission for Protection and Rescue at the Ministry of Defence, 50,000 refugees have sought refuge in Slovenia to date. Until today 31,213 persons requested the refugee status from the Red Cross, which is 1,300 persons more than yesterday. Among these 1,448 children are younger that one year and 1,096 of them are between one and two years old. In 51 civil defence reception centers there are at present 14,687 temporary refugees.
