Ljubljana, 3 September - Below is a schedule of events for Monday, 4 September:
POSTDAM, Germany - Labour, Family and Social Affairs Minister Janez Drobnic is to continue a three-day visit to Postdam, taking part at the first conference of Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) labour and employment ministers. The event, taking place under the title "More and Better Jobs - Working Jointly to Strengthen the Social Dimension of Globalisation", is to close on Tuesday.
LJUBLJANA - A public opening of tenders for a 15-year UMTS licence will determine who will join Mobitel, Slovenia's largest mobile operator that holds the licence since 2001. A maximum of three new providers are to join the club, each at a minimum price of SIT 1.5bn (EUR 6.25m).
LJUBLJANA - The day is to wrap up the 2006 tender for financial support to media programmes. The SIT 995m (EUR 4.2m) available through the so-called media fund are part of changes to the media act passed in May this year.
LJUBLJANA - A five-day annual European Meteorological Society (EMS) conference, organised by the Slovenian environment agency and the EMS media committee, is to begin at 8.30 AM with opening addresses which are to include that of Slovenian Environment Minister Janez Podobnik.
SLOVENSKA BISTRICA - A panel entitled "The Future of Farms in Slovenia and EU Agricultural Policy Measures" organised by the Agriculture and Forestry Chamber and its local units.
BELGRADE, Serbia - Slovenia are to take on Italy in the group B match of the European Water Polo Championships. The game is scheduled to start at 1 PM. (STA)
