Ljubljana, 3 September - Schedule of events in the week from 4 to 10 September:

MONDAY, 4 September
        POSTDAM, Germany - Labour, Family and Social Affairs Minister Janez Drobnic is to continue a three-day visit to Postdam, taking part at the first conference of Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) labour and employment ministers. The event is to close on Tuesday.
        LJUBLJANA - A five-day annual European Meteorological Society (EMS) conference, organised by the Slovenian environment agency and the EMS media committee, is to begin.
        SLOVENSKA BISTRICA - A panel entitled "The Future of Farms in Slovenia and EU Agricultural Policy Measures" organised by the Agriculture and Forestry Chamber and its local units.

TUESDAY, 5 September
        LJUBLJANA - The Association of Free Trade Unions of Slovenia (ZSSS), the Association of Public Sector Trade Unions, Pergam, KNSS Independence, Union Confederation 90, Solidarity, and the Alternative are to hold a joint press conference to speak about their reasons for their plan to hold a protest rally ahead of the Labour Ministry.

WEDNESDAY, 6 September
        CELJE - Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak is to officially declare open The 39th International Trade Fair in Celje, which is to take place between 6 and 13 September.
        LJUBLJANA - Unicef Slovenia is to present a pilot project on how to identify and prevent violence among children and young people.
        LIPICA - The opening ceremony of the 21st Vilenica International Literary Festival, to be held from 6 to 10 September. The ceremony will also see an author receiving a scholarship for writers sponsored by the Central European Initiative.
        SOFIA, Bulgaria - The Slovenian national football team are to begin their group G European Championships qualification campaign by taking on Bulgaria in Sofia.

THURSDAY, 7 September
        LJUBLJANA - Weekly government session.
        LJUBLJANA - A session by the parliamentary defence committee which is also to deal with the first case of sexual harassment in the Slovenian army.
        LJUBLJANA - A news conference by National Institute for Vocational
Education and Training on novelties for the 2006/2007 school year.
        LJUBLJANA - FM Dimitrij Rupel is to deliver the opening address at an Institute for Strategic Studies workshop entitled "Five Years, Five Views: Understanding Terrorism in the 21st Century.
        LJUBLJANA - A two-day international public sector business conference is to begin at the Ljubljana Faculty of Economics.

FRIDAY, 8 September
        HELSINKI, Finland - Finance Minister Andrej Bajuk is attend a two-day informal meeting of EU finance ministers.
        LJUBLJANA - A session by the parliamentary EU affairs committee.
        LJUBLJANA - The National Institute for Health Protection is to speak to the press as part of 10 September, World Suicide Prevention Day, and present the conference on suicide to be hosted by Portoroz from 9 to 12 September.

SATURDAY, 9 September
        IZOLA - Fourth regatta of diplomats.
        MARIBOR - The Slovenian men and women volleyball teams are to face the teams of Belarus in the return matches determining the participants of the 2007 European Volleyball Championships.

SUNDAY, 10 September
        HELSINKI, Finland - A two-day Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) summit is to begin, bringing together Asian and EU leaders, among them Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Jansa.
