VIENNA, Austria - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to attend a meeting of foreign ministers of the Regional Partnership - featuring Slovenia, Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia - that will focus on Serbia's cooperation with the EU.
NEW YORK, the US - Interior Minister Dragutin Mate is scheduled to launch a two-day visit to New York, where he is to attend a UN-sponsored round of talks on international migration and development.
LJUBLJANA - President Janez Drnovsek is to receive the executive director of the UN World Food Programme, James T. Morris, at noon.
LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary finance and monetary policy committee is to debate changes to the government-sponsored programme for selling state property in 2006 and 2007 to include plans to privatise NKBM, Slovenia's second-largest bank, among other things. Session starts at 9 AM. (STA/PHOTO)
LIPICA - The team managing the Lipica Stud Farm is to hold a media event at which it is to unveil plans for the home of the Lipizzaners, the world-famous white horses. Luncheon for journalists scheduled for 12:30 PM.
NOVA GORICA - Nova Gorica Mayor Mirko Brulc is to receive officials of US gaming chain Harrah's Entertainment at 2 PM for talks to discuss the corporations plans to build a mega gaming complex with Nova Gorica-based gaming chain Hit.
LJUBLJANA - Life insurer Slovenica zivljenje is to speak about half-yearly business results at a press conference scheduled for 11 AM.
PORTOROZ - The 9th Festival of Slovenian Film (FSF) is to get underway at 8:30 PM. A total of 82 films, 21 of which will be competing for the Vesna Award, will be showcased at the event. At the outset of the festival legendary Slovenian director Peter Zobec is to be given the Badjur award for life-time achievement in Slovenian film. (STA)
