Ljubljana, 16 September - Relations between Slovenia and Croatia hit a new low after Croatian police arrested several Slovenian journalists in a disputed border stretch on Wednesday. While tensions calmed by the end of the week after the two sides signed a technical agreement on repairs to the levees alongside the Mura river (NE), a spat between President Janez Drnovsek and PM Janez Jansa regarding the funding of the president's office did not cool off. Meanwhile, Slovenia protested against a delay in the Schengen zone expansion.
