MONDAY, 18 September
NEW YORK, US - Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel is to begin a ten-day visit to the US, where he is to attend a meeting of the UN General Assembly and host a meeting of the Human Security Network, among other events.
VIENNA, Austria - The jubilee 50th general conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is to start at Vienna. Slovenia, a member of the IAEA Board of Governors is expected to take over as chair of the body after the conference that will end on Friday.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - EU Agriculture and Fisheries Council is to hold a meeting, discussing the reform of the wine sector. Slovenian Agriculture minister Marija Lukacic is to be at hand.
MOSCOW/IRKUTSK, Russia - Transport Minister Janez Bozic is to begin an official four-day visit to Russia, where he is to meet his Russian counterpart Igor Levitin and take part at the 4th Baikal Economic Forum.
LJUBLJANA - Algerian Minister of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Handicrafts Mustapha Benbada is to discuss economic cooperation with his Slovenian host and counterpart Andrej Vizjak.
LJUBLJANA - Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak and MEP Romana Jordan Cizelj are to present energy policy as a priority task during Slovenia's stint as EU chair in the first half of 2008 and outline the visit of the European Energy Forum, which is expected in Slovenia on Thursday and Friday.
LJUBLJANA - The Chamber of Commerce and Industry will outline the changes in the organisation and activities of the new Chamber of Industry.
LJUBLJANA - Kosovo Parliament Speaker Kole Berisha is to hold talks with his Slovenian host and counterpart France Cukjati on the second day of Berisha's visit to Slovenia.

LJUBLJANA - Human Rights Ombudsman Matjaz Hanzek is to present a 27 September international conference on hate speech among other subjects.
LJUBLJANA - The Trade Union of Asbestos Patients (SABS) is to stage a public protest due to an "unexpected U-turn" in passing the changes to the act concerning remedying the consequences of work with asbestos.
TUESDAY, 19 September
LJUBLJANA - The Environment and Spatial Planning Ministry is to present its activities during the European Mobility Week.
NEW YORK, US - FM Dimitrij Rupel is expected to attend a breakfast of EU foreign ministers and the beginning of the plenary session of the 61st UN General Assembly meeting.
LJUBLJANA - The parliamentary inquiry commission investigating allegedly dubious share transactions by the state-owned KAD and SOD funds is to hold a session.
TRZIN/LITIJA - Prior to the cabinet's visit to the central Osrednjeslovensko region on Wednesday, the Local Self-Government and Regional Policy Minister Ivan Zagar is expected to visit Trzin and Litija.
DOMZALE/LJUBLJANA - Public Administration Minister Gregor Virant is to make a stop in Domzale and Ljubljana prior to the cabinet's visit to the Osrednjeslovensko region.
KAMNIK/STAHOVICA - Education and Sport Minister Milan Zver will visit Kamnik and Stahovica on the eve of the cabinet's visit to Osrednjeslovensko region.
VIDEM-DOBREPOLJE/RIBNICA - Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak will visit three companies ahead of the government's visit to the Osrednjeslovensko region.
IZOLA - The Exponautic company is expected to outline the Izola Boat Show 2006, Slovenia's largest nautical event.
WEDNESDAY, 20 September
NEW YORK - FM Dimitrij Rupel is expected to attend a meeting of states that support the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty as well as to hold several bilateral meetings.
LJUBLJANA - The cabinet is to embark on a one-day working visit to the central Osrednjeslovensko region.
PORTOROZ - The three-day Slovenian Administration Days are to kick off, discussing government reforms, public sector and Slovenia's 2008 stint as EU chair.
LJUBLJANA - The five-day 18th International Police Association World Congress is to kick off.
PORTOROZ - The 3rd Mediterranean Congress of Aesthetics is to begin. The four-day event, organised by the Slovenian Society for Aesthetics and the University of Primorsko, will take place under the title "Imagination, Sensuality, Art".
THURSDAY, 21 September
LJUBLJANA - The cabinet is to meet for a regular weekly session.
NEW YORK, US - FM Dimitrij Rupel is expected to attend a meeting of NATO foreign ministers, host the meeting of the Human Security Network and take part in a meeting of a ministerial group for interreligious dialogue.
TAMPERE, Finland - A two-day informal meeting of EU and justice ministers is to begin with the delay in the expansion of the Schengen zone to be on the agenda. Delegations from Slovenia's interior and justice ministries are to attend.
MARIBOR - Vehicle manufacturer Tovarna avtomobilov Maribor (TVM) is to unveil a contract with Austria's Magna Steyr company on the production of chassis frames for the Mercedes G off-roader.
SAN SEBASTIAN, Spain - The ten-day 54th International Film Festival is to kick off, featuring "Karavla" (Border Post) by director Rajko Grlic in its competition programme. The movie was co-produced by all the countries of the former Yugoslavia, including Slovenia.
FRIDAY, 22 September
KRSKO - The European Energy Forum will conclude its visit to Slovenia with a news conference attended by Economy Minister Andrej Vizjak, MEP Romana Jordan Cizelj and Giles Chichester, the president of the European Parliament's Committee on Industry, External Trade, Research and Energy .
LJUBLJANA - The Arteast Collection 2000+23 is to open in Moderna galerija contemporary art gallery.
MARIBOR - A group exhibition on contemporary photography in Slovenia entitled "Nova f - sodobna fotografija na Slovenskem" is to open.
