Pope praises initiative for Winter Olympics to be held on the Austrian-Slovenian-Italian border

Ljubljana, 29 May - Pope John Paul II today sent Gioacchini Francescutto, the member of the Provincial Council in charge of tourism, a letter in which he expressed great approval of the initiative to organize the Olympic Games to be held in the year 2000 at the point where the Slovenian, Italian and Austrian borders meet, reports today's Primorski dnevnik.
