SBI 20 Stays Put in Mixed Trading

Ljubljana, 25 September - A fairly even split among winning and losing shares ensured that the SBI 20 benchmark index remained almost unchanged at 5,585.72 points on Monday. The SBI TOP index of the five biggest names edged a point lower to 1,303.65.

Drug maker Krka dominated the action on the official market with deals worth SIT 220m (EUR 918,000). It gained 0.64% to SIT 171,706 (EUR 716.51).

Energy company Petrol was up 0.42% to SIT 104,249 (EUR 435.02), while chemical and tourism conglomerate Sava added 0.87% to SIT 46,897 (EUR 195.70).

On the losing side, newsstand operator Delo prodaja plummeted 4.95% to SIT 3,802 (EUR 15.86), publisher Delo was down 1.96% to SIT 25,000 (EUR 104.32), while food company Droga Kolinska slid 1.85% to SIT 2,650 (EUR 11.06).

The free market was much more unanimously pessimistic and major investment funds lost ground to pull the PIX investment fund index down 21.35 points to 4,667.35.

The bond BIO index added 0.02 points to 118.70.

Regular volumes were fairly thin at SIT 602m (EUR 2.5m), with another SIT 392m (EUR 1.6m) made in block deals.
