Privatization and Foreign Investments in Eastern European Countries

A two-day annual conference of the Central and Eastern European Privatization Network (CEEPN) began in Bled (northern Slovenia) on Friday. Representatives of governments and privatization agencies from 23 countries, the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Commission, the Phare and Tacis programmes and the OECD participate at the conference. This year's meeting is mainly consecrated to exchange of experiences and knowledge about privatization in the period of postprivatization between the countries in transition, to the development of the capital market and to the rehabilitation of banks.
