Ljubljana, 28 September - Below is a schedule of events for Friday, 29 September:

PORTOROZ - An informal meeting of NATO foreign ministers is to continue at 8:30 AM, and is to include a formal session of the NATO-Russia Council (11:30 AM) focusing on the marine operation Active Endeavour. NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer is to hold a news conference at 12:45 PM. Slovenian PM Janez Jansa is expected to meet senior NATO officials as he visits Portoroz. (STA/PHOTO)

LJUBLJANA - The parliament is to continue its session for September at 9 AM. The agenda of the final day of the session includes changes to programme of selling state property in 2006 and 2007, which includes the privatisation of Slovenia's second-largest bank, the NKBM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - Local Government and Regional Development Minister Ivan Zagar is to talk about changes to the act on municipal funding, adopted by the government on Thursday, at a press conference scheduled for 11:30 AM. (STA)

STUBICKE TOPLICE, Croatia - A meeting of the Slovenian-Croatian commission on water management is to begin at 10 AM to discuss the passage of the operational plan for the construction or repair of levees on the left bank of the river Mura. (STA)

MADRID, Spain - Eight Mediterranean EU members are to discuss illegal migrations at a meeting hosted by Spain. Slovenia is to be represented by Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel and Interior Ministry State Secretary Zvonko Zinrajh.

LJUBLJANA - A delegation of the Canadian lower house is to visit the National Assembly, meeting Branko Grims, the head of the Slovenian delegation in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, and members of the Slovenia-Canada parliamentary friendship group headed by MP Marko Pavliha.

LJUBLJANA - The national Statistical Office is to present inflation figures for September at a press conference scheduled for 10:30 AM. It is also expected to present data on birth rates in Slovenia from the 18th to 21st century. (STA)

OSLO, Norway - A three-day Eurojustice conference is to close with Slovenian State Prosecutor General Barbara Brezigar and her deputy Mirko Vrtacnik in attendance.

LJUBLJANA - An international conference on investment in SE Europe is to continue at 9 AM. European Science Commissioner Janez Potocnik is expected to be taking part in the event organised by the Slovenian Ministry of Higher Education, the UNESCO office in Venice and the Austrian Science Institute in Ljubljana.

LJUBLJANA - A Slovenian-American workshop entitled Environmental Science and Engineering is to continue at 9 AM.

LJUBLJANA - The final day of an international conference on digital broadcasting is to begin at 10 AM.

MARIBOR - The Gymnastics World Cup is to come to Slovenia's second largest city. The first of three days of competition at the 39th Salamun Memorial is to feature qualifications.
