LJUBLJANA - NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer is to visit the main barracks in Ljubljana (10 AM) and hold a press conference with Defence Minister Karl Erjavec (10:50 AM) as part of his stay in Slovenia. (STA/PHOTO)
PONTE DE LIMA, Portugal - FM Dimitrij Rupel is to take part in the European Strategic Forum. He is scheduled to meet his Portuguese counterpart Luis Amado on the sidelines of the meeting.
LJUBLJANA - The council of the ruling Slovenian Democrats (SDS) is to be in session to debate topical issues, including the forthcoming local elections. A press conference is scheduled for at noon.
LJUBLJANA - The European Association of Parkinson's Sufferers is to hold an international conference, which will get underway at 9:15 AM. Participants are to be addressed by Health Minister Andrej Brucan.
LJUBLJANA - The three-day Slovenian-American workshop entitled Environmental Science and Engineering is to come to a close.
MARIBOR - The second day of competition at the Salamun Memorial gymnastics tournament, which counts for the World Cup, will see the staging of the first finals.
SANDJEFORD, Norway/KOPER - Two Slovenian clubs are to open their campaign in Europe's strongest handball competition, the Champions League. Reigning Slovenian champions Celje will play at Norway's Sandefjord at 7 PM in group F, whereas Gold Club will play Barcelona at 5:15 PM in group G action.
WARSAW, Poland - Miss Slovenia Iris Mulej is to be competing at the Miss World 2006 beauty pageant. Gets underway at 8 PM.
