Drnovšek: The Results of Local Elections Will Not Influence the Current Mandate of the Parliament
Ljubljana, 4 December - KUČAN/DRNOVŠEK/ŠKOLČ
The local elections are particularly important because municipalities will be set up in accordance with the new constitution; they will, however, not influence the situation in the country nor in the parliament, told STA Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovšek, after he had voted on Sunday morning in Ljubljana. Drnovšek added that the local elections would not affect the current four-year mandate of the parliament.
