Ljubljana, 19 October - Below is a schedule of events for Friday, 20 October:

LAHTI, Finland - PM Janez Jansa will be taking part in an informal summit of EU leaders, who are to focus on energy, innovation and illegal migration. The meeting will close with a dinner with Russian President Vladimir Putin, while PM Jansa is scheduled to speak to the press at 5:30 PM. (STA)

LJUBLJANA - On the last day of campaigning ahead of Sunday's local elections, STA is to release a background on the poll. (STA)

LYON, France - A two-day conference of transport ministers from the Alps region, also attended by Slovenia's Janez Bozic, is to conclude.

KLAGENFURT, Austria - The Unity List (EL), the sole political party of the Slovenian minority in Austria, is to speak to the press at 11 AM about bilingual sings in public buildings as stipulated by Article 7 of the Austrian State Treaty.

LJUBLJANA - Minister of Labour, Family and Social Affairs Janez Drobnic is to present at 11 AM the activities the ministry s planning as part of the upcoming European Week for Safety and Health at Work.

LJUBLJANA - Several Slovenian trade unions are to speak to the press at 9 AM to present their arguments as to why the bill on regulating adjustments of transfers to individuals and households should not be sent into parliamentary procedure before being talked over with the social partners.

LJUBLJANA - The Movement for the Preservation of the Public Health System, a group opposing the government's privatisation of the health sector, is to hold a press conference at 11 AM to speak about topical matters.

PORTOROZ - The two-day financial and tax conference focusing on proposed changes to the tax system is to close.

LJUBLJANA/BREZICE - The government is to continue its roadshow during which it will outline the resolution on national development projects for 2007-2023 to the Slovenian public.

LJUBLJANA - The Human Rights Ombudsman, Matjaz Hanzek, is to host at 9 AM a seminar on the "Roma Against Discrimination" as part of his "Tackle Discrimination!" project.

LJUBLJANA - A four-day conference of university chancellors of SE Europe, sponsored by the Ljubljana University and the Ljubljana University Student Organisation, is to kick-off at 9:30 AM.

MARIBOR - The two-day Slovenian World Congress-sponsored conference of architects from Slovenia and abroad is to come to an end.
